I Charles Timmons, aka Timi Tanzania, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1951. I was raised as a foster child. I realized at an early age that I had a great love for art and music. Therefore my whole life has been geared toward becoming an artist extraordinaire and an all around musician. Currently I am a recording artist, a teacher of elementary theory in music and a community activist.
